Senior Resources and Referrals

At UCEP, we understand that everyone can use a helping hand. Because of this, we offer information and referrals for services that seniors may need. From in-home care to other senior services, UCEP helps ensure that the elderly individuals of our community have the resources they need to live long and healthy lives.

Helping Our Seniors

UCEP offers group support for older individuals and senior citizens. We provide a safe space for seniors to address and discuss their issues. Our support group helps our community elders to:

  • Establish a support network
  • Develop their self-esteem
  • Live a healthier lifestyle
  • Improve decision-making processes
  • Work on family relationships
  • Secure a stable future for themselves and their families
  • Set and achieve goals for themselves

UCEP aims to ensure that the seniors in our community are self-sufficient and have the support they need to live healthy and fulfilling lives. Whether you are retired or still in the workforce, older individuals of all backgrounds are welcome to our support group.

Seniors Caring for Young Children

Many grandparents and other older family members care for young children regularly, whether as babysitters or as full-time caregivers. We love our family members and want to support them anyway we can, but that doesn’t change the fact that helping others places a burden on ourselves. Seniors have their own issues to deal with, whether its financial, health wise, or even just finding the energy to keep up with young children. UCEP offers support for senior caregivers of young children.

We offer a free bi-weekly remote support group for seniors that are guardians/caregivers of children who are looking to share their experiences, strength and support.
